As what mentioned earlier, just on this February 28, 2011, soldiers of 3rd Platoon of the 630th Military Police Company were put into action when a bank robbery in Jalalabad, Afghanistan took place. NATOs International Security Assistance revealed that there are 12 armed men who entered Kabul Banks branch at around 11 in the morning. Maritime Contingency Force remains ready
ABOARD THE USNS JACK LUMMUS CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters broke the silence of the early morning hours as they soared toward a ship refusing to comply with orders of the U.S. Navy.
The Force Reconnaissance Platoon inserted via Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262 (reinforced), both with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and quickly gained control of the bridge, as the rest of the Maritime Raid Force searched key areas throughout the vessel, during a mock Visit Board Search and Seizure, Feb. 17.
The ship used for the event, USNS Jack Lummus, is a military sealift command ship. The MRF was tasked to perform a non-compliant boarding of the ship and locate a specific individual aboard.
GDP-ISAF kicks off mission rehearsal exercise, continues ISAF support
HOHENFELS, Germany The Republic of Georgia 33rd Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) arrived at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) here recently from Georgia to begin a month long training evolution that will serve as a final mission rehearsal prior to their upcoming deployment in support of International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
The 33rd LIB represents the third of four battalions to undergo training through the Georgia Deployment Program ISAF (GDP-I), a U.S. European Command-sponsored, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Europe-led initiative to prepare the Georgians for their Afghanistan deployment as part of ISAF. The instructor trainers are sourced from throughout the Marine Corps and directed by Marine Corps Training and Advisory Group.
